Equal Justice Ambassadors has launched a community-driven environmental initiative aimed at supporting rural villagers through sustainable tree planting projects. The programme focuses on restoring degraded land, improving local biodiversity, and promoting long-term environmental resilience.

Working alongside community leaders and volunteers, the organisation provided seedlings, technical guidance, and logistical coordination to ensure effective planting and maintenance. The initiative prioritised native tree species to strengthen local ecosystems, prevent soil erosion, and enhance climate adaptation strategies in vulnerable areas.

Beyond environmental benefits, the project also serves a social purpose. By engaging local residents—particularly young people and women—the initiative promotes community ownership, environmental education, and shared responsibility for sustainable development.

Representatives of Equal Justice Ambassadors emphasised that environmental justice is closely linked to social justice. Supporting rural communities to plant trees contributes to food security, cleaner air, and economic stability through future agroforestry opportunities.
